3rd Annual Kiwanis Spooktacular

Join the Kiwanis Club from 1 to 4 on Saturday, October 19 for our 3rd Annual Halloween Spooktacular. There will be pumpkin painting, games, crafts and snacks. The event is a family-friendly, free event, geared toward children 10 and under, but all are welcome!

November 2018 Student of the Month

For November 2018, Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis honored Katherine LaBarge as our Student of the Month.  Katherine(Katie), the daughter of Pat and Lisa LaBarge, was nominated by Carla Leonhardt, her literature teacher at John Edwards High School.  Some extra-curricular activities Katie has participated in are National Honor Society, Student Council, Drama Club, Volleyball, statistician for basketball, Math League and track.

Katie has volunteered her time with QuestBridge(a social media connection program for aspiring college studentss) and in occupational environments, working for local accounting firms.  Also, Katie works part-time at McDonald’s and is relied on as a trainer for new employees!

After high school, Katie is hoping to attending Marquette University in Milwaukee for Mathematics/Statistics.

Congratulations to Katie and we wish her well in all future endeavors!

October 2018 Student of the Month

For October 2018, Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis honored Erinn Dempze as our Student of the Month.  Erinn, the daughter of Scott and Kelli Dempze, was nominated by Craig Rogney, her counselor at Assumption High School.  Some extra-curricular activities that Erinn has participated in are Pep Club, Campus Ministry, Bible Study, National Honor Society, Tennis and Shadow Stations.

Erinn gives back to her community by volunteering at SWEPS, The Neighborhood Table, Assumption School Choir, St. Joseph Catholic Church Pancake Breakfast and she’s in the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Choir.

Congratulations to Erinn for being a model student and citizen in our community!
