In the same spirit as our summer Kiwanis Youth Outdoors Day event, we are hosting our first Kiwanis Winter Outdoors Day.
During the winter many Wisconsinites hibernate indoors waiting for the spring thaw before again venturing outdoors. Unfortunately, they are missing some of the most quiet and beautiful months of the year as the snow sparkles in the sun in the cool crisp air.
Join us for a day of activities at Nepco Lake in Wisconsin Rapids.
Two dog sled racing team will be on hand demonstrating their sport. Area experts will also be on hand to introduce and instruct you and your entire family on X-Country Skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping, ice fishing, winter fur trapping and ski jumping.
This is your opportunity to try some winter activities without having to invest in the equipment first.
Additionally, enjoy a couple trips down the sledding hill or some hot chocolate and cookies as you warm up in the heated shelter house.
