On June 7th, with the support of other members of our community, we are happy to announce that we will again be hosting the Kiwanis Youth Outdoors Day event.

Sign-in will begin at 8:45 at Lake Wazeecha Red Sands Beack Park. The park is located 1/4 mile west of 80th Street (Cty Trk U) on South Park Rd in Wisconsin Rapids
The event is free to the public. Youth must be between the ages of 8 and 16 as of the June 7th, 2008. All youth in attendance will be able to participate in archery and bb-gun shooting events, youth ages 12-16 can participate in the .22 caliber rifle and the clay pigeon ranges. Youth MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Other activities at this year's event include: rock climbing, canoeing, fly fishing, fly tying, spin cast fishing, elk, turkey, and duck hunting calling and hunting techniques, trapping, shell reloading, clay pigeon shooting, and more. Activities are still subject to change and additional events may still be added.
All attendees participating in shooting sports will need to complete a 45 minute safety course the day of the event before they will be allowed to operate a firearm or bow.
